Where to buy Maker?

There are a few crypto exchanges we can use to purchase our Maker, our preferred choice is the popular exchange Swyftx.

Over 500,000 Australians are using this exchange, and it’s easy to see why.

With their simple sign up and deposit process, low trading fees and super easy interface you will be up and running with your own Crypto portfolio in minutes.

Don’t forget they are currently running a promotion where you get $20 BTC FREE just for creating a free account.

Other Australian exchanges you can try are Digital Surge, CoinSpot and Independent Reserve. But if you are a beginner I would still highly recommend the Swyfx exchange.

You can read our fully comprehensive Swyftx guide here.

What is Maker?

Maker is a decentralized, open-source, blockchain-based platform that runs on the Ethereum network. It was launched in December 2017 by Rune Christensen and has a team of over 30 people.

Maker is a duel token system using both the Dai and MKR token.

Maker’s goal is to create an alternative to fiat currencies by creating a stablecoin called Dai, which can be used as an alternative to the US dollar or other currencies.

The MKR token is used as a utility token on the platform. It is used to pay for transactions, fees, and rewards.
